नई दिल्ली, 22 अक्टूबर 2026: दुनियाभर की governments और organisations ने widely used web programming language PHP में मिली दो critical security vulnerabilities के बाद emergency cybersecurity measures शुरू कर दिए हैं। इन flaws को AI-assisted research से खोजा गया और इनके public होने के बाद Europe और Asia में कई government, banking और institutional websites को precaution के तौर पर temporarily offline करना पड़ा।
क्या है vulnerability?
दो flaws को CVE-2026-109618 और CVE-2026-109619 के रूप में track किया जा रहा है। दोनों unauthenticated remote code execution की अनुमति दे सकते हैं, यानी attacker बिना login credentials के vulnerable server पर code चला सकता है। PHP ने इनकी severity 9.2/10 आंकी है।
AI ने कैसे मदद की?
Cybersecurity firms Calif और Wiz ने AI tools की मदद से इन vulnerabilities को independently identify किया। Reports के मुताबिक flaws PHP codebase में लंबे समय से मौजूद थे और AI-assisted analysis ने उन्हें surface करने में अहम भूमिका निभाई।
किन websites पर असर पड़ा?
Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Finland और Czech Republic समेत कई European देशों में government और institutional websites को precautionary basis पर offline किया गया। Japan में भी banks और government departments ने कुछ online services temporarily restrict कीं, जबकि South Korea ने cybersecurity alert level बढ़ाया।
Exploit attempts भी शुरू
Cloudflare के मुताबिक disclosure के कुछ ही घंटों में millions of exploit attempts दिखाई दिए। Security researchers ने भी in-the-wild exploitation attempts detect किए, जिससे urgency और बढ़ गई।
PHP ने emergency patches जारी किए
PHP developers ने तुरंत patched versions 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36 और 8.2.35 जारी किए और administrators को तुरंत update करने की सलाह दी। पुराने unsupported PHP versions इस्तेमाल करने वालों को supported release पर migrate करने को कहा गया है।
PHP इतना महत्वपूर्ण क्यों है?
PHP दुनिया की बड़ी संख्या में websites के backend में इस्तेमाल होता है और WordPress, Drupal, Joomla तथा Magento जैसे platforms का आधार है। इसी वजह से core-language flaw का असर बहुत बड़े web ecosystem तक फैल सकता है।
AI का double-edged effect
यह incident दिखाता है कि AI cybersecurity में vulnerabilities खोजने में मदद कर सकता है, लेकिन disclosure के बाद attackers भी AI का इस्तेमाल exploit development तेज करने में कर सकते हैं। इसी वजह से experts patching को अब और ज्यादा time-critical मान रहे हैं।
