लेह, 22 अक्टूबर 2026: Ladakh के लिए बड़ा education और healthcare development सामने आया है। Leh में Union Territory का पहला Government Medical College (GMC) academic session 2027-28 से शुरू करने की तैयारी है। Union Health Ministry ने college को operationalise करने के साथ faculty और support staff की recruitment पहले शुरू करने के लिए one-time relaxation मंजूर कर दी है।
103 regular posts पर होगी भर्ती
सरकार ने college के लिए 103 regular posts sanction किए हैं। इन पदों को academic requirements के अनुसार phased manner में भरा जाएगा। भर्ती approved recruitment rules के तहत होगी।
80% infrastructure rule में मिली छूट
आमतौर पर faculty recruitment शुरू करने से पहले लगभग 80% infrastructure complete होना जरूरी था। लेकिन Ladakh के कठिन terrain और project timeline को देखते हुए Centre ने इस condition में one-time relaxation दी है, ताकि construction के साथ-साथ staffing भी आगे बढ़ सके।
शुरुआत temporary campus से
Permanent campus Stipuk Pharka में तैयार किया जा रहा है। तब तक दो newly constructed buildings को interim academic block और students’ hostel के रूप में इस्तेमाल करने की योजना है।
Clinical training कहां होगी?
पहले batch के MBBS students की clinical training Leh के 200-bed Sonam Norboo Memorial (SNM) Hospital में कराने की योजना है। Hospital में करीब 60 experienced doctors मौजूद हैं।
Admissions अभी शुरू नहीं हुए
यह ध्यान रखना जरूरी है कि 2027-28 से college शुरू करने की मंजूरी मिल गई है, लेकिन MBBS seat intake, NMC approval, fees, counselling process और admission eligibility की final details अभी officially घोषित नहीं हुई हैं। Students को NMC, NTA और Ladakh Administration की notifications का इंतजार करना होगा।
Ladakh के students को मिलेगा बड़ा फायदा
अब तक medical education के लिए Ladakh के students को largely दूसरे राज्यों या UTs पर निर्भर रहना पड़ता था। नया GMC local students के लिए MBBS opportunities बढ़ाने के साथ region में doctors और healthcare infrastructure की availability भी मजबूत कर सकता है।
