नई दिल्ली, 13 अक्टूबर 2026: UK की defence और advanced manufacturing कंपनियां India में investment, joint development और defence technology co-creation के अवसर तलाश रही हैं। UK-India Business Council (UKIBC) के CEO Kishore Jayaraman ने कहा कि India का scale और manufacturing capability British firms को आकर्षित कर रही है, लेकिन defence जैसे strategic sectors में long-term collaboration के लिए मजबूत Intellectual Property (IP) protection regime बेहद जरूरी होगा। Defence co-creation में joint IP होगा अहम Jayaraman के मुताबिक, defence cooperation अब केवल products खरीदने-बेचने तक सीमित नहीं रह सकता। Future partnerships में technologies को jointly develop करने, local supply chains बनाने और intellectual property को साझा करने की जरूरत होगी। ऐसे model में companies तभी सहज होंगी जब उन्हें IP protection पर भरोसा होगा। India में scale, UK के पास advanced technology UKIBC CEO ने कहा कि India के पास large market, engineering talent और manufacturing scale है, जबकि UK advanced manufacturing, uncrewed systems, AI और defence technologies में मजबूत capabilities रखता है। दोनों देशों की strengths को जोड़कर global supply chains और export-oriented defence products विकसित किए जा सकते हैं। Uncrewed systems और combat engine पर collaboration UK और India के बीच unmanned या uncrewed defence systems पर सहयोग बढ़ाने की कोशिश हो रही है। UK में नवंबर में होने वाले defence conclave में Indian और British companies को साथ लाने की योजना है। इसके अलावा Rolls-Royce लंबे समय से India के साथ next-generation combat aircraft engine के co-development को लेकर बातचीत कर रही है। FTA के बाद British firms की दिलचस्पी बढ़ी India-UK trade agreement के operational होने के बाद British businesses की India में investment को लेकर रुचि बढ़ी है। UKIBC के अनुसार defence के साथ space, advanced manufacturing और technology sectors भी उन प्रमुख क्षेत्रों में शामिल हैं जहां UK companies विस्तार देख रही हैं। Local supply chain और रोजगार को मिल सकता है बढ़ावा Strong IP framework के साथ defence technology का co-development India में manufacturing और supply-chain localisation को बढ़ा सकता है। इससे Indian companies को सिर्फ component suppliers बनने के बजाय higher-value design, development और technology ownership में भागीदारी का मौका मिल सकता है। Trust होगा long-term defence partnership की कुंजी Defence projects में technology अक्सर national security और strategic advantage से जुड़ी होती है। इसलिए UK firms के लिए यह जरूरी है कि jointly developed technologies और sensitive IP को स्पष्ट कानूनी सुरक्षा मिले। Jayaraman ने कहा कि इस trust को लगातार मजबूत करना India-UK defence partnership के विस्तार के लिए अहम होगा। source – ThePrint, UK-India Business Council जय राष्ट्र न्यूज़
