Houthis ने Red Sea के Greater और Lesser Hanish Islands पर कब्जा किया; Global Oil Supply को लेकर नई चिंता
काहिरा/सना, 14 सितंबर 2026: Yemen के Iran-backed Houthi rebels ने Red Sea के रणनीतिक Greater Hanish और Lesser Hanish Islands पर कब्जा कर लिया है। Yemeni government और Houthi officials के मुताबिक government-allied forces के पीछे हटने के बाद Houthis ने दोनों islands पर fighters तैनात कर दिए। इससे Bab el-Mandeb Strait और global shipping routes की security को लेकर चिंता और बढ़ गई है। Hanish Islands पर Fighters तैनात Greater और Lesser Hanish Islands, Bab el-Mandeb Strait से करीब 160 km उत्तर में स्थित हैं। Officials के मुताबिक government-aligned forces के archipelago से हटने के बाद Houthi fighters ने इन islands पर control स्थापित किया। इससे पहले Houthis ने Mokha port city और Mayun (Perim) Island पर भी कब्जा किया था, जो Bab el-Mandeb के भीतर रणनीतिक रूप से बेहद महत्वपूर्ण location है। Bab el-Mandeb पर बढ़ी पकड़ Bab el-Mandeb Strait Red Sea को Gulf of Aden और Indian Ocean से जोड़ता है और Asia-Europe maritime trade के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण corridors में शामिल है। Houthis की Red Sea coastline और nearby islands पर बढ़ती पकड़ से commercial vessels और oil tankers के लिए security risks बढ़ सकते हैं। Saudi Oil Exports के लिए अहम Route Strait of Hormuz में disruption के बीच Bab el-Mandeb और Red Sea route की अहमियत और बढ़ गई है, क्योंकि Saudi Arabia समेत Gulf producers इसे alternative export corridor के रूप में इस्तेमाल करते हैं। इस route पर खतरा बढ़ने से shipping costs, insurance premiums और global crude supply पर अतिरिक्त दबाव पड़ने की आशंका है। Brent Crude $107 के पार Middle East में बढ़ते तनाव के बीच सोमवार को Brent crude करीब 3% बढ़कर $107.81 प्रति barrel तक पहुंच गया, जबकि US crude करीब $102.94 पर था। Saudi oil infrastructure पर हालिया attacks और Red Sea shipping से जुड़े risks ने global energy market की चिंता बढ़ा दी है। Yemen Conflict फिर तेज होने का खतरा Houthis की नई territorial gains ने Yemen में लंबे समय से चल रहे conflict के फिर बड़े स्तर पर भड़कने की आशंका बढ़ा दी है। हाल के हफ्तों में fighting के कारण हजारों लोगों के displaced होने की reports सामने आई हैं और humanitarian situation को लेकर भी चिंता बढ़ रही है। Global Trade पर भी पड़ सकता है असर अगर Bab el-Mandeb में shipping और ज्यादा risky होती है, तो vessels को Africa के Cape of Good Hope के रास्ते divert करना पड़ सकता है। इससे journey लंबी होने के साथ freight और fuel costs भी बढ़ सकती हैं। इसी कारण Houthi advances को सिर्फ regional military development नहीं, बल्कि global trade और energy security से जुड़े बड़े risk के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है। source – Associated Press / Reuters / Financial Times जय राष्ट्र न्यूज़
