नई दिल्ली: सरकारी नौकरी की तैयारी कर रहे 10वीं पास उम्मीदवारों के लिए बड़ी खबर है। India Post ने Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2026 के तहत 23,757 vacancies के लिए One-Time Registration यानी OTR आज, 31 अगस्त 2026 से शुरू कर दिया है। यह भर्ती Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) और Dak Sevak पदों के लिए की जा रही है।
हालांकि candidates को ध्यान रखना होगा कि आज से केवल registration शुरू हुआ है। Actual online application और fee payment 2 सितंबर से शुरू होंगे। OTR की अंतिम तारीख 19 सितंबर है, जबकि application 21 सितंबर शाम 5 बजे तक जमा किया जा सकेगा।
कुल 23,757 Vacancies
Department of Posts की GDS Online Engagement Schedule-II, July 2026 recruitment drive में पूरे देश के postal circles में कुल 23,757 posts शामिल हैं।
इनमें तीन प्रमुख पद हैं:
- Branch Postmaster (BPM)
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)
- Dak Sevak
Vacancies अलग-अलग states और local-language requirements के अनुसार बांटी गई हैं।
Maharashtra में सबसे ज्यादा Vacancies
Circle-wise vacancy list में Maharashtra की Marathi category में 2,297 posts हैं, जो सबसे बड़ा allocation है।
इसके बाद:
- Tamil Nadu: 2,118
- Uttar Pradesh: 1,691
- West Bengal: 1,619 Bengali posts
- Madhya Pradesh: 1,450
- Jharkhand: 1,379
- Kerala: 1,373
- Odisha: 1,353
- Karnataka: 1,116
- Bihar: 1,098
समेत दूसरे postal circles में vacancies जारी की गई हैं। कुल संख्या 23,757 है।
10वीं Pass Candidates कर सकते हैं Apply
India Post GDS Recruitment के लिए candidate का किसी recognised board से Class 10 pass होना जरूरी है।
10वीं में:
- Mathematics
- English
subjects होना आवश्यक है। इसके साथ जिस postal circle के लिए candidate apply कर रहा है, उसकी prescribed local language का knowledge भी जरूरी है।
Candidates से basic computer knowledge और cycling का knowledge भी अपेक्षित है।
Age Limit 18 से 40 साल
Candidates की minimum age 18 वर्ष और maximum age 40 वर्ष निर्धारित की गई है।
Age calculation 21 September 2026 के आधार पर की जाएगी। Reserved categories को Government rules के अनुसार upper-age relaxation मिलेगा।
Written Exam नहीं होगा
इस recruitment की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि GDS selection के लिए कोई written examination नहीं होगा।
Candidates की selection Class 10 के marks के आधार पर system-generated merit list से की जाएगी। Marks की calculation चार decimal places तक की जाएगी।
Shortlisted candidates को बाद में document verification और जरूरी eligibility checks से गुजरना होगा।
कितनी मिलेगी Salary?
Gramin Dak Sevak posts में payment Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) के आधार पर होती है।
- BPM: ₹12,000 से ₹29,380
- ABPM / Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 से ₹24,470
तक TRCA range निर्धारित है।
यह भी ध्यान रखना जरूरी है कि GDS posts regular Central Government employee posts के समान नहीं हैं और इनकी service conditions अलग GDS rules के तहत governed होती हैं।
Application Fee ₹100
UR, OBC और EWS category के eligible male candidates के लिए application fee ₹100 है।
वहीं:
- SC
- ST
- PwBD
- Female candidates
- Transwomen candidates
को application fee से exemption दी गई है।
Important Dates
Candidates के लिए recruitment schedule इस प्रकार है:
- OTR Registration: 31 August से 19 September 2026, शाम 5 बजे तक
- Application + Fee Payment: 2 September से 21 September 2026, शाम 5 बजे तक
- Correction Window: 23 और 24 September 2026, शाम 5 बजे तक
Department of Posts के official schedule में registration और actual application को अलग-अलग stages रखा गया है।
Candidates रखें इस बात का खास ध्यान
India Post ने candidates को केवल official recruitment portal का इस्तेमाल करने की सलाह दी है।
OTR के दौरान mobile number, email, Class 10 details, category और personal information सही भरना जरूरी है। Duplicate registration करने से candidature cancel हो सकती है।
इसके अलावा BPM post के लिए selected candidate को Branch Post Office चलाने के लिए prescribed location पर accommodation की व्यवस्था से जुड़ी conditions भी पूरी करनी पड़ सकती हैं।
31 August की Latest Situation
आज 31 अगस्त 2026 तक स्थिति यह है:
- India Post GDS OTR आज से शुरू
- कुल 23,757 vacancies
- भर्ती BPM, ABPM और Dak Sevak posts के लिए
- आज actual application नहीं, केवल OTR शुरू हुआ है
- Application form 2 September से खुलेगा
- OTR की last date 19 September
- Application की last date 21 September
- Eligibility मुख्य रूप से 10वीं pass
- Age limit 18 से 40 साल
- कोई written exam नहीं होगा
- Selection Class 10 merit के आधार पर होगी।
