नई दिल्ली/चेन्नई: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering यानी GATE 2027 के लिए आवेदन शुरू होने का इंतजार कर रहे लाखों candidates को अभी और इंतजार करना होगा। परीक्षा आयोजित कर रहे IIT Madras ने GATE 2027 registration की opening date एक बार फिर बदल दी है। Official schedule में पहले 14 अगस्त 2026, फिर 27 अगस्त 2026 की तारीख दी गई थी, लेकिन अब दोनों dates को हटाकर registration opening के सामने “TBA – To Be Announced” लिख दिया गया है।
28 अगस्त 2026 की latest official स्थिति यह है कि GATE 2027 application registration अभी शुरू नहीं हुआ है। Official homepage पर candidates को साफ संदेश दिया जा रहा है कि online application registration “will start soon” और तब तक documents तथा verified DigiLocker account तैयार रखें।
27 August को भी नहीं खुला Registration Portal
GATE 2027 registration पहले 14 अगस्त से शुरू होना था।
13 अगस्त को IIT Madras ने notification जारी करके registration opening को 14 August से postpone कर 27 August 2026 कर दिया था। उसी के साथ बिना late fee आवेदन की deadline को 27 September और extended registration deadline को 5 October तक बढ़ाया गया था।
लेकिन 27 अगस्त को candidates application link का इंतजार करते रहे और registration window पूरी तरह activate नहीं हुई।
इसके बाद official Important Dates page update किया गया।
अब वहां:
14 August 2026 — struck out
27 August 2026 — struck out
नई Opening Date — TBA
दिखाई दे रही है।
IIT Madras ने क्या लिखा है?
Official GATE 2027 homepage पर registration section में फिलहाल लिखा है कि online application registration जल्द शुरू होगा।
Candidates को meanwhile:
- application process से जुड़े instructional videos देखने,
- सभी required documents तैयार रखने,
- DigiLocker account create/update करने,
- और उसे verified रखने
की सलाह दी गई है।
IIT Madras ने फिलहाल नई registration opening date घोषित नहीं की है।
इसलिए social media या दूसरी websites पर दिखाई दे रही किसी unofficial date को final नहीं मानना चाहिए।
कई Reports ने 27 August को Registration शुरू होने की खबर दी थी
27 अगस्त की सुबह कई education websites और news organisations ने earlier schedule के आधार पर reports publish की थीं कि GATE 2027 registration शुरू हो गया है।
लेकिन बाद में official portal पर opening date बदलकर TBA कर दी गई। 28 अगस्त को Times of India और Hindustan Times समेत media reports ने भी registration के फिर postpone होने की पुष्टि की।
इसलिए official IIT Madras portal की current information को प्राथमिकता देना जरूरी है।
अगर किसी पुरानी report में “GATE 2027 Registration Started on August 27” लिखा है तो वह अब latest official status नहीं है।
क्या GOAPS Portal खुला है?
Official homepage पर GOAPS/Application Portal का navigation option दिखाई दे सकता है, लेकिन उसी page पर registration शुरू होने के बारे में स्पष्ट संदेश “will start soon” दिया गया है और Important Dates section में opening date TBA है।
इसलिए केवल GOAPS button दिखाई देने को successful candidate registration शुरू होने की पुष्टि नहीं माना जाना चाहिए।
Candidates को तब तक नया application submit करने की कोशिश में unofficial links पर जाने से बचना चाहिए, जब तक IIT Madras opening date officially announce न कर दे।
क्या 27 September की Last Date बदली है?
फिलहाल नहीं।
Official Important Dates page पर अभी भी regular online registration की closing date:
27 September 2026
दिखाई जा रही है।
Late fee के साथ extended registration की अंतिम तारीख:
5 October 2026
है।
हालांकि official page के नीचे साफ लिखा है कि सभी dates बदल सकती हैं।
चूंकि opening date फिर postpone हुई है, इसलिए candidates को closing dates पर भी लगातार नजर रखनी चाहिए। IIT Madras आगे revised schedule जारी कर सकता है।

28 August तक उपलब्ध official schedule के मुताबिक:
- Registration Opening: TBA
- Regular Registration Closing: 27 September 2026
- Extended Registration Closing: 5 October 2026
- Application Rectification शुरू: 14 October 2026
- Application Rectification अंतिम तारीख: 21 October 2026
- Exam City Allotment: 4 January 2027
- Admit Card: TBA
- GATE Exam: 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 और 21 February 2027
- Result: 19 March 2027
फिलहाल examination dates में कोई बदलाव official portal पर नहीं किया गया है।
DigiLocker रहेगा Mandatory
Registration की date भले बदल गई हो, लेकिन GATE 2027 application process में किया गया बड़ा बदलाव अभी कायम है।
सभी Indian nationals के लिए GATE 2027 registration में verified DigiLocker account mandatory है।
Official portal के मुताबिक DigiLocker से candidate की कई details fetch की जाएंगी, जिनमें:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Profile Picture
- Address
- Verified ID Card Number
शामिल हैं।
इसलिए candidates को registration शुरू होने का इंतजार करते हुए DigiLocker verification पूरा कर लेना चाहिए।
Application शुरू होने से पहले क्या तैयार रखें?
Candidates को अभी application opening का इंतजार करने के बजाय documents तैयार रखने की सलाह दी गई है।
इसमें valid photo ID, educational details, photograph, signature, category certificate जहां applicable हो और दूसरे relevant documents शामिल हो सकते हैं।
सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है कि DigiLocker में personal information सही और verified हो।
अगर DigiLocker में नाम या date of birth official ID से match नहीं करती है तो registration शुरू होने के बाद परेशानी हो सकती है।
Robotics and Automation नया Paper
GATE 2027 में इस बार Robotics and Automation (RA) नाम से नया test paper भी जोड़ा गया है।
इसके अलावा syllabus और two-paper combinations में कई revisions किए गए हैं। IIT Madras ने Biotechnology syllabus, Textile Engineering & Fibre Science तथा XE, XH और XL sectional paper codes से जुड़े बदलाव भी highlight किए हैं।
इसलिए जो candidates पहले से preparation कर रहे हैं उन्हें पुराने syllabus पर निर्भर नहीं रहना चाहिए।
Official GATE 2027 syllabus जरूर check करना चाहिए।
कौन आयोजित कर रहा है GATE 2027?
इस बार GATE का Organising Institute Indian Institute of Technology Madras है।
GATE examination IISc और IITs द्वारा National Coordination Board-GATE और Ministry of Education की ओर से आयोजित की जाती है।
GATE score का उपयोग IITs, IISc और अन्य institutes के postgraduate तथा doctoral programmes में admission के लिए किया जाता है।
कई Public Sector Undertakings भी अपने recruitment process में GATE scores का इस्तेमाल करती हैं, हालांकि GATE qualify करना अपने आप admission या PSU job की guarantee नहीं देता।
Exam Dates अभी नहीं बदलीं
Registration में दो बार delay के बावजूद IIT Madras ने फिलहाल GATE 2027 examination dates नहीं बदली हैं।
Exam तीन weekends पर आयोजित होना scheduled है:
6–7 February
13–14 February
20–21 February 2027
Result 19 March 2027 को घोषित करने का schedule है।
Paper-wise date और shift details बाद में जारी होने की उम्मीद है।
Candidates Fake Registration Links से रहें सावधान
Registration delay के समय fake websites और misleading application links का खतरा बढ़ जाता है।
Candidates को किसी social-media post या search advertisement के जरिए मिले unknown application portal पर:
- DigiLocker credentials,
- Aadhaar/ID information,
- OTP,
- banking information,
- या application fee
नहीं देनी चाहिए।
Official information के लिए केवल IIT Madras के GATE 2027 portal पर भरोसा करना चाहिए।
28 August की Latest स्थिति
आज 28 अगस्त 2026 की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण update यह है कि GATE 2027 application registration फिर postpone हो गया है।
Official website पर:
- 14 August की पुरानी opening date हट चुकी है,
- 27 August की revised date भी हट चुकी है,
- नई opening date TBA है,
- website कह रही है registration will start soon,
- DigiLocker Indian candidates के लिए mandatory बना हुआ है,
- regular closing date अभी 27 September है,
- extended deadline अभी 5 October है,
- और February 2027 की examination dates में फिलहाल कोई बदलाव नहीं हुआ है।
इसलिए candidates को फिलहाल registration शुरू होने का दावा करने वाली पुरानी reports के बजाय IIT Madras के latest official schedule को follow करना चाहिए।
नोट: 27 अगस्त को कई reports ने application शुरू होने की खबर दी थी, लेकिन IIT Madras की current official website अब opening date को “TBA” दिखा रही है। Latest official status के अनुसार registration अभी शुरू होना बाकी है।
