काठमांडू/तिब्बत: Nepal-Tibet border पर आई विनाशकारी flash flood ने भारी तबाही मचाई है। आज, 30 अगस्त 2026 की latest update में Nepal और Tibet को मिलाकर confirmed death toll 750 तक पहुंच गया है, जबकि 3,044 लोग अब भी लापता बताए जा रहे हैं। Nepal में सबसे ज्यादा 734 मौतें दर्ज की गई हैं, जबकि Tibet में 16 लोगों की मौत की पुष्टि हुई है।
Rescue operation के बीच आज Nepal में नई बाढ़ की warning भी जारी की गई है। Bhotekoshi River में पानी का level बढ़ने के बाद flood-hit districts के residents को high alert पर रहने और जरूरत पड़ने पर ऊंचे स्थानों पर जाने को कहा गया है।

Sunday को authorities की latest figures के मुताबिक Nepal में flood disaster से confirmed death toll बढ़कर 734 हो गया।
China की तरफ Tibet के Gyirong County में 16 deaths confirm की गई हैं।
दोनों को मिलाकर Nepal-Tibet disaster का confirmed death toll:
750
तक पहुंच गया है।
यह आंकड़ा आने वाले घंटों और दिनों में और बदल सकता है क्योंकि बड़े पैमाने पर search operations अभी भी जारी हैं।
3,044 लोग अब भी लापता
Death toll से भी ज्यादा चिंताजनक missing persons का आंकड़ा है।
Latest official figures के मुताबिक:
- Nepal में 2,498 लोग missing
- Tibet में 546 लोग missing
- Combined missing count 3,044
है।
Rescue teams debris, mud, damaged roads और difficult Himalayan terrain के बीच survivors की तलाश कर रही हैं।
आज फिर जारी हुआ Fresh Flood Alert
Disaster के पांचवें दिन भी खतरा खत्म नहीं हुआ है।
Nepalese authorities ने आज रविवार सुबह fresh flood warnings जारी कीं, क्योंकि Bhotekoshi River में पानी का स्तर फिर बढ़ने लगा।
Nepal की National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority के मुताबिक Chinese authorities ने upstream water flow बढ़ने की जानकारी Nepal को दी थी। इसके बाद downstream areas में alert जारी किया गया।
कई residents को अपने mobile phones पर warning messages मिले और कुछ लोग bridges तथा ऊंचे स्थानों पर पहुंच गए।
गांवों में सिर्फ Mud और Debris
Flood-hit areas की स्थिति बेहद गंभीर बनी हुई है।
Nuwakot और Dhading के कई इलाकों में:
- घर debris में दब गए
- Vehicles मिट्टी में फंस गए
- Agricultural fields तबाह हुए
- Power poles और electricity lines टूट गईं
- Bridges बह गए
- कई settlements का road connection टूट गया
AP की ground reporting में पूरे villages को thick grey-brown sediment से ढका हुआ बताया गया है।
Hydropower Tunnels में फंसे Workers की तलाश
Rescue operation का एक बड़ा focus Nepal के hydropower projects पर है।
Rasuwa district में Trishuli 3A और Trishuli 3B hydropower sites पर 100 से ज्यादा workers के tunnels में trapped होने की आशंका है।
Nepal Army ने Trishuli 3A tunnel में एक pipe डालने में सफलता हासिल की है और उसके जरिए अंदर air supply भेजी जा रही है।
Thick mud के कारण tunnels तक पहुंचना मुश्किल बना हुआ है।
933 Hydropower Workers Missing
Nepal की disaster authority के मुताबिक missing लोगों में 933 hydropower workers भी शामिल हैं।
Flood ने Nepal के महत्वपूर्ण hydropower infrastructure को गंभीर नुकसान पहुंचाया है।
कई construction sites, power projects और connecting roads पानी तथा debris में बह गए या पूरी तरह damage हुए हैं।
Tibet में 261 Foreign Nationals लापता
आज China ने पहली बार Tibet side पर missing foreigners का detailed nationality breakdown जारी किया।
Chinese authorities के मुताबिक 23 देशों के 261 foreign nationals Gyirong area में missing हैं।
इनमें:
- 104 Nepal के नागरिक
- 49 Indians
- 33 Latvians
- 18 Americans
- 15 British citizens
शामिल हैं।
Indian pilgrims की बड़ी संख्या इस region से Kailash Manasarovar की तरफ travel कर रही थी।
49 Indians अब भी Tibet Side पर Missing
Indian audience के लिए सबसे महत्वपूर्ण fresh update यह है कि Chinese authorities की Sunday list में 49 Indian nationals अभी भी unaccounted for बताए गए हैं।
China ने कहा है कि missing foreigners के बारे में संबंधित foreign missions को जानकारी दी जा रही है।
Nepal और Tibet दोनों sides पर भारतीय नागरिकों की tracing का काम अलग-अलग agencies और diplomatic channels के जरिए चल रहा है।
हजारों लोगों को Rescue किया गया
Rescue teams helicopters, military personnel, drones और ground teams के जरिए stranded लोगों तक पहुंचने की कोशिश कर रही हैं।
Reuters की Sunday update के मुताबिक Nepal में अब तक 7,514 लोगों को rescue किया जा चुका है।
हालांकि rescue figures अलग-अलग समय पर जारी होने के कारण agencies की reports में कुछ अंतर हो सकता है।
Prithvi Highway पर भी असर
Nepal की राजधानी Kathmandu के लिए बेहद महत्वपूर्ण Prithvi Highway भी flood से प्रभावित हुआ है।
AP के मुताबिक highway का ज्यादातर हिस्सा operational है, लेकिन कुछ sections में अभी repair work और connectivity problems बनी हुई हैं।
यह highway food, fuel और दूसरी essential supplies को Kathmandu तक पहुंचाने वाले प्रमुख routes में से एक है।
कैसे आई इतनी भयानक Flash Flood?
Disaster की शुरुआत 26 अगस्त को Himalayan region में massive glacier/ice-rock collapse के बाद हुई।
एक विशाल मात्रा में ice, rocks, mud और debris river system में गिरा और उसके बाद तेज flood wave mountain valleys से नीचे की ओर बढ़ी।
Flood इतनी powerful थी कि कई buildings, bridges, roads और power infrastructure कुछ ही मिनटों में बह गए।
Chinese state broadcaster CCTV ने Chinese scientists के assessment के आधार पर glacier instability को लंबे समय के global warming effects से जोड़ा है।
हालांकि इस specific disaster में climate change की precise भूमिका पर broader scientific analysis अभी जारी है।
90,000 से ज्यादा लोग प्रभावित होने का अनुमान
Reuters के मुताबिक Red Cross का अनुमान है कि disaster से 90,000 से ज्यादा लोग प्रभावित हो सकते हैं।
Flood से homes, livelihoods, roads, bridges, electricity और tourism infrastructure को भारी नुकसान हुआ है।
Nepal सरकार पहले ही reconstruction cost करीब $4 billion से $5 billion तक होने का शुरुआती अनुमान दे चुकी है।
India ने भेजी Technical और Relief Help
India ने Nepal की मदद के लिए relief material और specialised technical assistance भेजी है।
Reuters के मुताबिक India तीन flights के जरिए करीब 60 tonnes relief supplies, जिसमें medicines, food और blankets शामिल हैं, Nepal भेज चुका है। Indian tunnel experts की एक team भी rescue operation में मदद के लिए पहुंची है।
China ने भी tunnel rescue experts, emergency workers, supplies और technical data उपलब्ध कराया है।
खतरा अभी पूरी तरह खत्म नहीं
Authorities के लिए सबसे बड़ी चिंता यह है कि Himalayan river system अभी unstable बना हुआ है।
आज Bhotekoshi River में बढ़ते water flow के बाद दोबारा warning जारी करनी पड़ी।
इसलिए residents को official alerts follow करने और high-risk riverbank areas से दूर रहने को कहा जा रहा है।
