लखनऊ, 14 सितंबर 2026: Uttar Pradesh में भारी बारिश और coal mines में waterlogging के कारण coal production और transportation प्रभावित हुआ है, जिससे thermal power plants की generation capacity पर असर पड़ा है। Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) के मुताबिक peak evening और night hours में demand-supply gap बढ़ने के कारण कुछ इलाकों में limited night-time rostering करनी पड़ रही है।
Heavy Rain से Coal Supply प्रभावित
UPPCL ने बताया कि लगातार बारिश के कारण कई coal mining areas में waterlogging हुआ है। इससे coal extraction और power plants तक fuel पहुंचाने की प्रक्रिया धीमी हुई।
बारिश में पहुंचने वाला coal कई जगह गीला भी हो रहा है, जिससे thermal units की efficiency और generation प्रभावित हो रही है।
Rural Areas और Bundelkhand में Night Rostering
दिन के समय Uttar Pradesh में electricity supply सामान्य बनी हुई है, लेकिन peak evening और night hours में limited rostering की जा रही है।
UPPCL के मुताबिक इसका असर मुख्य रूप से:
- Rural areas
- Bundelkhand
- Tehsil towns
- Nagar Panchayats
में देखने को मिल रहा है। वहीं district headquarters को round-the-clock electricity supply दी जा रही है।
Power Exchange से भी नहीं मिल रही पर्याप्त Electricity
UPPCL ने कहा कि peak hours में Power Exchange के जरिए अतिरिक्त electricity खरीदने की कोशिश की जा रही है, लेकिन मांग के मुकाबले availability काफी कम है।
Corporation के मुताबिक Power Exchange पर मांगी जा रही बिजली का सिर्फ 2–3% हिस्सा ही peak hours में clear हो पा रहा है, जिससे shortfall पूरा करना मुश्किल हो रहा है।
कई राज्यों में भी Coal Supply की समस्या
Coal shortage का असर केवल Uttar Pradesh तक सीमित नहीं है। UPPCL officials के मुताबिक Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh और Gujarat के thermal power plants भी coal supply disruption से प्रभावित हुए हैं।
Coal India के साथ Coordination बढ़ाया
UPPCL ने कहा है कि state government और power corporation Coal India Limited तथा अन्य agencies के साथ coordination कर coal supply बढ़ाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।
Northern Coalfields ने भी बारिश कम होने के बाद production और dispatch बढ़ाया है। इससे Uttar Pradesh समेत कई राज्यों के power plants तक coal supply में सुधार की उम्मीद है।
देशभर में Coal Stocks पर Pressure
देश स्तर पर भी thermal power plants के coal stocks पर दबाव बना हुआ है। 9 September तक करीब 59 coal-fired plants के पास critical स्तर से कम stock था, यानी उनके पास सामान्य जरूरत का 25% से भी कम या लगभग तीन दिन का coal बचा था।
